The department of Chemistry has outshined in numerous scopes and currently hosts19 fulltime faculty members. The faculty members have outclassed and are instrumental in setting up different research laboratories in the department namely Bio-nano research cell for energy and environment, Solution chemistry laboratory, Material chemistry laboratory, Organic chemistry laboratory, Environmental chemistry laboratory. The department is ranked 31 amongst all the institutions of India through a survey conducted by Nature index 2021.
